Redirect Traffic As You Migrate From Blogger To Wordpress

When you transfer from Blogger to Wordpress there will be a permalink structure update as Wordpress will set the permalink structure like

http://example.com/?p=post-id-number

by default. Thus when a reader clicks on a post link from a search engine it will show him 404 error. Besides, you will loose pr juice of internal pages as all the incoming links are pointing to the previous post urls, not to the new type of urls. So you need to update your Wordpress permalink to Blogger-like structure to maintain traffic & pagerank. To do that you have to go to Options>Permalinks. Then in the Custom Structure box enter

/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%.html

& save it. Now your permalink is just like Blogger & you won’t face any problem in retaining traffic & link juice to your pages.

Just for your information, these pages are not static .html files & your pages will still be dynamically generated.
